Known as Ram (Sanche) Rai, was born (1965) in the region of Mt. Everest, Solukhumbu, Taksindu VDC-1, Phuleli village; Went to the school (established by Sir Edmund Hillary) at Nunthala. He owns a trekking lodge & camping site in Nunthala/Bhambaridi (Quiet view Lodge). He has been working on several trekking trips in the Himalayas since 1982. He is one of most experienced (trekking cook) staff in the agency. 

He is a friendly, hard working and reliable person. He has supported a lot to his community as a social welfare.He worked in Saudi Arabia for a couple of years; has been running a local restaurant in Kathmandu since 2003 in order to support his children's education. Speaks Khaling, Nepalese, some English and Sherpa languages.
