Sakal (Sancha) Rai, the guide assistant of "Wilderplaces Nepal",  was born (1987) in the region of Mt. Everest, Solukhumbu, Basa VDC-8, Rapchha village; Studied in Kharikhola secondary school.

Obtained Trekking guide, basic mountaineering & navigation course in Kathmandu; and first aid course. Climbed Lobuche east trekking peak.

He is friendly and helpful person. Plays some music and sings songs. Speaks Khaling, Nepalese and English languages.
